What do I eat after
workout?
Everybody wants flat abs but how do you tone up your
tummy?!
For this your post workout Meal will be your most important meal
of the day. Because when you are finished with an intense workout you enter a catabolic state where your muscle glycogen is depleted and your
muscle tissue starts breaking down due to the increased cortisol levels. So to reverse this state is to consume a quick digestible post
workout meal as soon as you can after training.
Means you can have a yummy healthy meal instead of those
expensive post workout supplement formulations that the fancy ads talk about! Natural is always better
The goal is to choose a meal with easily digestible quick carbs
to replenish muscle
glycogen as well as quickly digestible protein to provide the
amino acids needed to jump
start muscular repair.
Your post workout meal should contain anywhere from a 2:1 ratio
to a 4:1 ratio of carbs:protiens. While most of your other daily meals should contain a source of healthy
fats, keep the fat content of your post-workout meal to a bare
minimum, since fat slows
the absorption of the meal, which is the opposite of what you
want after a workout.
